On the train to Rasmi (2023)

“I chose this path when I saw the suffering of my own and others… When things get tough, I know that I’m safe in the hands of God”. Said Nathan, a friend my age who has been spending years practicing Zen. I didn’t have the chance to hug him goodbye but deep down I know if we’re meant to meet again, we will.
– “Are you travelling around Australia?” – “I’m just going with the flow of life”. A young man whose name I didn’t know responded. He wore barefoot, a guitar on his back and a white feather tied on one machine head. His voice was soothing. He radiated an energy of peace and serenity that can make you feel like this world is full of light and love (I learned later that he has spent 4 years living with monks in the Himalayas and now he is flowing through life… without a mobile phone). It was just a brief encounter but profound enough to make lasting memories.
– “I saw signs everywhere on my Camino de Santiago walk. I knew that God was always with me”. Martina got her wake-up call thanks to a helicopter incident. Her life story is so beautiful I wish I could stay longer to know more. “I feel you’ll come back”… I will be back if I’m meant to be.

I always feel grateful because Australia has been so kind to me even though things never worked out the way I planned. I know the Universe has a better plan for me. Yesterday a beautiful python came to say hi. The night before I dreamt of conversing with a snake. It was not a coincidence.
